Versace stuns crowd with seaside spring collection

In the quest for the style that is uniquely theirs, topnotch fashion designers engage themselves in looking for things that have never been seen on the runway before without looking like they are doing it just to become unique. There has to be some sense of originality, but they cannot lose out the "fashionable" in it either. So while some people despise the safari-inspired collection of Michael Kors , the response towards Versace's latest seaside-themed collection is more favorable.

Seashells, starfish, and crustacean shells adorn the outfits from Donatello Versace's latest fashion collection shown last September 23 at the Milan Fashion Week. Noticeable in the entries were white outfits whose straps and seams are studded with sparkling seashells and starfish. There were also racy miniskirts that really remind you of how it is like to live beside the ocean. Set against the Versace palace in Via Gesu in Milan, "earthly", "springy", and "rejuvenating" are appropriate adjectives to use here.

Then at the end of the show came in, ironically, little black dresses also littered with those shiny seaside-inspired designs. But the bombshell appeal of the outfits were off the charts. Unsurprisingly, the collection was met with widespread acclaim because of its "cool" theme without having to look very crass and unsolid. Maybe Michael Kors can get a lesson or two from our prolific designer from Milan. The collection will not be available to the public until spring, but I'm sure some of the patrons are already excited to get their hands on these beauties.
