The word "stylish" has to be one of the most overused and overrated terms in the world of fashion. Designers and clothing sellers always boast of their creations as being stylish and fashionable, but if you will look at it carefully, it's all just clothes. How can that be any better than the others?

I believe that to become truly stylish and fashionable, you have to learn that what other people tell you about fashion and style are just hogwash. They always come out with styles that supposedly "in" for that season, but just how many people do wear these clothes that designers churn out anyway? And if indeed it becomes a hit, would you really want to wear something similar as everyone else has?

To become truly deeply genuinely stylish, first you have to be comfortable with your body. Your body will be the one wearing those clothes. No matter how stylish your clothes supposedly are, you will still send the wrong message if you are not happy with who you are. Be happy with your body because it is the only one you have. Love your flaws and your assets. It makes you who you are.

A truly deeply genuinely stylish person knows how to emphasize his/her assets through dress-up. There are just some parts of your body that you love more than the others. If so, what keeps you from flaunting it? Flaunt it to emphasize your beauty and image to other people. Just as much as you are confident with yourself, to be truly stylish, people have to accept that you are confident with your style, too.

Lastly, the truly deeply genuinely stylish person knows to express his/her confidence through clothing. You are confident with who you are. You know your assets. But are the clothes you wear really the ones you like or do you just pick them up from random? This is the last characteristic of the truly deeply genuinely stylish person because you cannot achieve this without the other two, but this can also be the most difficult to achieve. How do you define your creativity?
