Have you been in a beauty boutique and tried to buy an air brush and got confused because there are actually a lot of them? Hair brushes come in different shapes and sizes but there are actually five basic types of hair brushes which are suitable to the hairstyle that you want to achieve. One is the paddle brush. A paddle brush from the name itself resembles a paddle. It is usually three inches wide and is suitable for styling long and straight hair. It does not add volume to the hair so it is best if you want that sleek straight hair. Second is the cushion brush. Unlike a paddle brush, it is oval in shape and is somewhat concave in the middle. This is used in styling medium length hair. Like the paddle brush, it does not create volume. The difference is that their shapes define the length of hair that it should be used with. Since short hair is close to the scalp, the edges of a cushion brush smoothens everything from the scalp to the tips. Third is the round brush. The round brush specifically thermal round brush is used with a hair blower in styling. It has different sizes depending on how you want your style. Small round brush creates curl and movement while large round brush makes the hair wavy. The thermal flat brush is the opposite of a round brush. It makes your hair straight with no bends unlike the round brush. It can also be heated with a hair blower, unlike the paddle brush which does not have holes that releases the heat of the hair dryer. Last is the sculpting brush. The sculpting brush looks like a flat brush but has wider gaps between the bristles. It is ideal for creating volume in short hair. Back combing is the method usually used in adding volume which can be effectively achieved by the sculpting brush. These types of brushes are helpful in styling your hair, but are not for untangling hair. It is advisable to use a comb first when untangling wet hair, then a brush for styling it after untangling. Also, these brushes have different handles which you can choose based on your preferences. Rubber handles are for gripping but the most expensive are wood handles. In choosing your hair bush, make sure to take into consideration your hair length and style so that it can be enhanced by the use of the brush. Amp up your look. Start with your hair and feel exquisitely beautiful. You can talk about...
