Fashion is everywhere. Sometimes you really got to look good if you want to excel in what you do. It can be depressing at times, but that is the truth. Fortunately, in the athletic world, this is not really the case. But people still love to show off once they're in front of everyone.

If there's a sport that allows for wearing fashionable get-ups, that would be tennis. Nobody really puts sanctions against putting up deviant attire, which is why tennis players don all sorts of clothing while they're on court. This is especially obvious during the currently on-going French Open.

According to this news article from Yahoo!, world's number two Venus Williams sported black, lacy outfit with red trimming, a plunging neckline, and flesh-coloured underwear that kept photographers busy. Venus is not really my type, but you gotta admit that men are turned on by such outfits. Venus had already said that she is focusing on illusions with her outfits this year. Now I wonder what kind of illusions she is trying to portray. Maybe...

Anyway, her sister won't allow herself to be outdone, of course. Serena Williams also said that she shall be focusing on illusions (!!!) with her outfits for the French Open. She also wore shorts that had the same color as her skin, in addition to a plunging neckline that her sister had also sported on court.

It has been eight long years since an American ever won in the French Open, but you can bet that these two American tennis players are doing well when it comes to the fashion wars on court. There may be French rivals here and there, but in this game, the Williams sisters definitely have it.
