Mother Nature is the battlecry for many people here on many fronts. From eco-friendly homes to eco-friendly computer hardware, it is obvious that many people are falling for this green trend. With this said, is it any wonder why many fashion designers and common people now opt for more eco-friendly clothing?
By eco-friendly clothing, we of course mean clothing that are made from materials that are good with the environment and made in a process that is food for the environment. The idea has been used for so many times already: use recycled materials, use natural materials, use materials that do not emit toxic fumes in the process of creating them. In fashion, the same rules apply. Ever heard of clothes made out of bamboo? How about Manila hemp? Yes, there are a lot of manufacturers out there that create clothing made out of these materials (plus some others). The best thing about it is that some designers are creative enough not to compromise the quality of their designs by using these unconventional materials. In fact, they were able to inject more interesting designs using these eco-friendly materials. How have they become eco-friendly, you ask? They are environment-friendly because these materials are biodegradable. This means that their fibers were not created using toxic artificial substances like plastics and nylon. The fact that they do degrade over time means that if you throw your clothes away, they won't be a problem in your city's sewer system. Purchasing eco-friendly clothing is definitely a must if you claim to be someone who is for the environment. Though slightly more expensive than conventional clothing, eco-friendly fabrics are more sustainable while at the same time useful. They do not compromise design and comfort. Don't you think it's about time we think about the environment first before the price? You can talk about...
