Rihanna and Celebrity Fashion Foul-Ups

Sometimes you gotta praise artists for setting the trends in fashion and donning outfits that you don't think will ever come out at this day and age. But the truth here is that no matter how revolutionary your dress is, it all depends on the personality of the artist whether the attire will click or not. Horrible becomes genius when you are Lady Gaga. Horrible will remain horrible if you are Rihanna.

And speaking of Rihanna, she score two points this week along in Yahoo! OMG's What Were They Thinking segment. Her clown-red locks are bad enough. But nobody would think that she would add another color by coming out with that rainbow-colored Prada dress, not to mention two-tone ankle socks coupled with a pair of ruby-red shoes.

But she didn't stop just right there. The next time OMG caught sight of her, she was wearing a belly-showing fuchsia sweater, tangerine pants, and gold high-heeled shoes. Mix this with, again, her clown-red hair do and you got the perfect model for what you should not wear while in public. Seriously, I know she's trying to set a trend here, but she isn't exactly the kind of celebrity that you would want to wear of those kind. Fashion experimentation is better left to the likes of Lady Gaga, whom the public has already accepted to be a weirdo.

That's one of the problems in the celebrity world. Everybody wants to be famous because it is through that that they earn money. Along with it is their desire to stay relevant, hence the craziness to come out with as many "trend-setting" outfits as possible. Of course this all backfires because these celebrities end up looking like a desperate joke wanting to get a piece of fame. Nobody is following their fashion suggestions anymore. It does not matter even if it is one expensive dress you have there, as long as it is not good-looking, it isn't.
